Darin Henze, pianist and award-winning composer, was born and raised in Minnesota. After graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a B.A. in Biology and a Chemistry minor, Darin moved across the river to Fargo, North Dakota where she and her family now live. After playing the piano professionally for years, Darin discovered a passion for writing and arranging music. Since then, she has produced six CDs and three books of her original music and Christmas carol arrangements.
Darin earned a Judges Choice Award for original music at the 2005 MOVA Arts Festival in Guntersville, Alabama for “The Brook.” In 2006, Maestro Bernard Rubenstein afforded Darin a quote: “(Darin has) a beautiful lyric sensibility and an excellent affinity for the romantic piano genre.” Darin enjoys spending time with family and friends at the lake, gardening, and training for and competing in triathlons.
