About the Composers
Gerald E. Anderson
AndersonGerald E. Anderson is a former faculty member at the University of California at Los Angeles where he served as Chairman of Music Education / Supervisor of student teachers and taught courses in instrumental techniques, instrumental curriculum / literature, and conducting.
     Prior to his arrival at UCLA in 1979, Mr. Anderson taught instrumental music for 19 years at all levels of music education. During 11 years at Santa Monica High School, Santa Monica, California, he developed their symphony orchestra program into one recognized for its artistry through invitational performances at MENC Conferences in Arizona, California, and Utah.
     Mr. Anderson earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from the University of Illinois, where he was elected to membership in both Phi Mu Alpha-Sinfonia and Pi Lappa Lambda. His professional affiliations include MENC, ASTA with NSOA, CMEA, Suzuki Association of the Americas, and Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association. He has conducted numerous honor groups and has served as adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor across the United States as well as in Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan. He and his wife, Linda Allen Anderson, a prominent choral educator and editor live in Los Angeles, California.

Robert S. Frost
FrostRobert S. Frost earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Music Education from Utah State University and his doctorate in Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado. Formerly, he has held the position of secretary and vice president of Orchestra for the Utah Music Educators, and president of the National School Orchestra Association (1986 – 1988). Currently he holds the position of President-Elect for the Utah Chapter of ASA with NSOA. Dr. Frost has been guest lecturer and clinician and has conducted honor and clinic orchestras at many state, national, and international Music Educators Association conferences.
      Robert Frost is currently retired from the Cache County School District School District (Utah) after dedicating 30 years as a string specialist having taught strings and orchestra at the elementary, middle school, and senior high school levels. He directs the Cache Chamber Orchestra and is active as composer, arranger, author, and private teacher. Dr. Frost has over 180 works to his credit.
